Andrew Gwynne responds to Boris Johnson’s comments on children’s services
Andrew Gwynne, Labour’s Shadow Secretary for Communities and Local Government, responding to Boris Johnson’s failure to recognise the Conservative Party’s devastating impact on children’s services, said:
“Yet again, Boris Johnson has refused to recognise the harm caused by a decade of Conservative cuts. He’d rather stand up for big businesses and the super-rich than children in need.
“Austerity has devastated the services vulnerable children rely on but Johnson won’t commit to providing the funding they so desperately need.
“This election offers the chance to vote for more cuts to the most vulnerable under the Tories, or real change with a Labour government on the side of the many.”
