Cat Smith responds to the Make Your Mark ballot
Cat Smith MP, Labour’s Shadow Minister for Voter Engagement and Youth Affairs, responding to the results from this year’s Make Your Mark ballot, said:
“The Government should listen very carefully to this powerful and positive display of youth voice and democratic participation.
“From tackling the national knife crime epidemic to extending the franchise to 16 and 17-year-olds, these are the issues that the Tories can no longer ignore.
“The next Labour government will champion the needs of young people and build a fairer society where every young person has the opportunity to succeed.”
