Government support for young people “woefully lacking” – Cat Smith
Cat Smith MP, Labour’s Shadow Minister for Young People, responding to the Prince’s Trust research on young people’s mental wellbeing due to the pandemic, said:
“This Government’s support for young people is woefully lacking. The Conservatives have failed to recognise the critical impact that this pandemic will have on young people for years to come.
“The Government must stop treating unemployed young people as an afterthought – these are the key workers of the future and must be recognised for their importance in our recovery from this crisis.”
