Our high streets are being neglected by the Government – Andrew Gwynne
Andrew Gwynne MP, Shadow Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, commenting on the publication of the Grimsey Review 2 report today, said:
“Our high streets are facing some of the biggest challenges in recent history, but are being neglected by the Government.
“Since the first Grimsey Review, the Government has failed to stem the decline of our high streets and town centres, with 21,000 jobs lost in the first three months of this year alone.”
“Unlike the Tories, Labour wants to empower communities, putting them at the heart of decision making, giving communities a greater say over their towns and neighbourhoods.”
