I was very saddened to hear of the death of Graham Taylor earlier today-Tom Watson MP
Tom Watson MP, Labour’s Shadow Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, commenting on the death of former England manager, Graham Taylor, said:
“I was very saddened to hear of the death of Graham Taylor earlier today.
“Amongst his many achievements, he will be remembered for taking Watford from the fourth tier of English football to the first and for guiding both Watford and Aston Villa to second place finishes in the old First Division.
“The outpouring of sympathy from across the country is testament to his character and the decency he showed to people throughout his career. His energy and enthusiasm were infectious and football has lost a great ambassador.
“My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this time.”
