Justin Madders responds to Nursing Standard survey
Justin Madders MP, Labour’s Shadow Health Minister, responding to the news that more than half the nursing workforce is regularly going through shifts without key basic human needs being met, said:
“These are shocking and appalling findings.
“For nurses to feel unable to even drink water on shift is a damning indictment of Tory mismanagement of our health service, which has seen staff leaving in their droves and record vacancies of 100,000.
“In the 70th year of the NHS failing to meet the basic human needs of our hardworking staff is completely unacceptable.
“Only Labour offers the long term investment needed to sort out this escalating crisis.”
