Justin Tomlinson’s comment shows just how out of touch the Government is from the realities of life facing low income families – Greenwood

Margaret Greenwood MP, Labour’s Shadow Work and Pensions Secretary, responding to Justin Tomlinson’s comment that people hit by the benefit cap could take in a lodger to make ends meet, said:

“This shows just how out of touch the Government is from the realities of life facing low income families as a result of its cruel benefits regime.

“Labour will transform our social security system so that it supports people instead of punishing them.”
