Labour responds to court finding on lack of sign language at Covid briefings

Vicky Foxcroft MP, Labour’s Shadow Minister for Disabled People, commenting on the court case against the Government over the lack of sign language at Covid briefings, said:

“Disabled people shouldn’t have to take the Government to court for them to realise their failings.

“Since the start of the pandemic, Labour has been calling on the Government to improve their poor communication, including asking for the use of British Sign Language during all government news conferences.

“A future Labour government would have disabled people at the heart of our policymaking, not afterthoughts.”
