Nick Thomas-Symonds comments on terror threat level being raised to ‘severe’
Nick Thomas-Symonds MP, Labour’s Shadow Home Secretary, responding to the terror threat level being raised to ‘severe’ following the explosion outside Liverpool Women’s Hospital, said:
“It’s understandable, after the second incident in a matter of weeks, that the current terror threat level has been raised to severe.
“Our thoughts are with the people of Merseyside, and we thank our emergency services who acted so swiftly in the face of danger.
“Those who seek to divide us with acts of terrorism and hatred must never win. As a country, we stand together with the people of Liverpool.
“The criminal investigation must now be able to proceed quickly. We urge anyone with any information to come forward and for people to remain vigilant.”
