Peter Dowd responds to latest growth figures
Peter Dowd MP, Labour’s Shadow Chief Secretary to the Treasury, responding to Q4 GDP being revised down by the ONS today, said:
“These are concerning figures. They confirm that economic growth in Q4 was the weakest Q4 growth in five years. It only further underlines why it is so essential we see a change of direction from Philip Hammond in the Spring Statement next month.
“The next Labour government will end austerity and provide the investment vitally needed to kick-start the economy to deliver rising living standards for the many, not the few.”
