Tory cuts to hospital outpatient appointments – Jonathan Ashworth responds

Commenting on Tory cuts to hospital outpatient appointments, Shadow Health Secretary Jonathan Ashworth said:

“Just as Boris Johnson is staging election stunts pretending austerity is over, in the real word, patients are being told they can no longer have outpatient appointments because of Tory cuts.

“Under the Tories more and more treatments are subjected to rationing and waiting lists are getting longer.

“Years of Tory cutbacks and privatisation means the future of the NHS will be central in the coming election campaign.

“Labour will give the NHS the money it needs while you can’t trust any Tory promises because as Johnson’s top adviser said, the Tories ‘don’t care about the NHS’”.
