UK is breaking international law and trashing its reputation – Lord Falconer

Lord Falconer, Shadow Attorney General, responding to the Government’s response to Labour’s Urgent Question on the NI protocol and provisions of the internal market Bill breaking international law, in the House of Lords today, said:

“This was an appalling attempt to obfuscate the Government’s position from a law officer, whose role is to protect the rule of law, not collude in its breach.”

“The unvarnished truth is that the UK is breaking international law and trashing the UK’s reputation in the world in the process.”
