Comms Organiser Job Application

Role: Local Organiser – Communications and Digital (0.4 FTE) Salary: £12,898.67 pro rata, with a fixed sum allowance of £478. The full-time equivalent salary would be £32,246.69 (gross) per annum, with a fixed sum allowance of £1,195.
Current employees in banding 15-21 will maintain their existing salary.
Location: Remote
Duration: A fixed-term contract until 30 May 2027

The Labour Party is looking to recruit a Local Organiser – Communications and Digital. The post-holder will be responsible for the delivery of winning communications for the Cumberland Labour Group (‘the Labour Group’) and the labour Party in Cumbria and upskill others to do the same in the lead up to 2027 local and mayoral elections.

The successful candidate will have:
– Excellent knowledge of crafting good political communications, the social media and digital landscape
– Experience of working on multi-platform digital campaigns
– Experience of working with a variety of stakeholders
– Video editing skills
