Residents in Holborn and St Pancras will have the opportunity to choose their next MP on Thursday 8 October, and Labour’s candidate Sagal Abdi-Wali is ready to fight for the local community.

Sagal is a local campaigner and the Leader of Camden Council – she’s represented Camden Square since 2022 and has already delivered real change for residents across the borough.

In her roles overseeing housing and adult social care, Sagal worked with residents, businesses and community organisations to secure more than £670 million to improve Camden’s social housing. She’s also made tackling energy bills a priority, with nearly £30 million invested to retrofit around 3,000 council homes.

Sagal says: “This place welcomed my family as refugees and gave us hope when we needed it most. I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to build a life here, serving our community as a councillor, school governor, and community activist. Now I am standing to say thank you and to give back the hope you gave me.”
