Year-round donations from Rose Network members provide vital support to ongoing campaigning and organising activity in communities across the whole of the UK, in our heartlands and in those key marginal constituencies we need to win.
Next year, Labour will contest an unprecedented amount of elections all occurring on the same day. On Thursday 6 May 2021, every single person will have at least one vote, and in many cases, many more.
These elections will provide an opportunity for Labour to make gains in areas of vital importance and where our vote share has collapsed in recent years, including Scotland. We cannot expect to win the next General Election and return a Labour Government without making significant gains in the elections that come before then.
The support of Rose Network members is a crucial resource needed to fight, and win, next year’s elections.
As a Rose Network member, you’ll be invited to a programme of events, including live webinar discussions with key politicians, throughout the year, to network with others in the Labour movement and to have meaningful discussions on policy, ideas, and the big issues facing the country.
We greatly appreciated the generosity given to the Party by those who are most able to. There is much to do. But, with your support, we will return Labour to government.
Our donors have a proud legacy and have raised tens of millions to support the Labour Party.
Members of Labour’s Rose Network, formerly the Thousand Club, have over the years collectively donated tens of millions of pounds to the Labour Party.
These funds have been vital in numerous local and national campaigns, including three successful General Election victories which returned Labour Governments and transformed the lives and futures for millions in this country. Labour created the welfare state. We created the NHS. We passed equalities legislation, the Race Relations Act, we set up the Open University. We built hospitals and schools, established Sure Start and played our part in bringing about peace in Northern Ireland.
Today, the Rose Network is just as important with donations from our members supporting crucial election activity up and down the country in those areas and regions where we simply need to win.
“Since this network of members first came together, their support has achieved truly extraordinary things for our Party.
Donations from our Rose Network members are crucial to our campaigning and organising work on the ground, both in and out of general election years, giving us the best possible chance of returning a Labour Government.
I’m grateful for the support of every member and I would be personally delighted to welcome you to the Network, so if you can, please join us.”
Emily Thornberry MP, Shadow Secretary of State for International Trade and Rose Network Chair.
As well as invitations to a series of thought-provoking events and webinars, members of the Rose Network receive regular communications from the Fundraising team including guest edits and regular policy updates.
In the absence of physical gatherings, we are instead hosting a ‘Meet the Shadow Cabinet’ webinar series. These webinars are a great opportunity for Rose Network members to engage with Labour’s Shadow Cabinet and quiz them on all things from policy to podcasts!
