Registering and running a Young Labour branch

To be a registered Young Labour group, you require at least four officers: a Chair, a Secretary, a Membership & Campaigns Officer, and a Women’s Officer (who must be a woman). Your group can decide on and elect other officers if you wish – many groups have BAME, LGBT and Disabled Members officers, as well as social secretaries and plenty of other positions depending on what works for them. The Labour Party works to uphold the safety and wellbeing of our young members at all times, including on social media. For this reason, it’s important that we have a record of any social media groups, pages or accounts in your Young Labour branches name and who has access to post from them.
