Economy

We have set Britain’s economy on the right path with the right economic plan: delivering growth, cutting inflation, and restoring stability to the public finances. Interest rates have been cut six times, and we’ve increased the National Living Wage and the National Minimum Wage, giving millions of workers on the lowest incomes a pay rise.

Migration

We are bringing back control to our immigration system: strengthening border security and speeding up asylum decisions so claims are processed quickly and fairly. Already, net migration is down by more than 80% from its peak. We are closing asylum hotels, small boat arrivals are falling and people smuggling arrests are up.

Crime & Justice

We are restoring neighbourhood policing, with 3,000 additional neighbourhood police recruited already and every community having a named, contactable police officer. So far, knife crime is down 10%, homicide is down 9% and the number of suspects being charged with crimes is up since we came into office.

Energy

We have taken decisive action to bring down energy bills, with the energy price cap down by £117 in April, and we’re delivering energy security with the biggest ever investment in homegrown clean power, including the biggest nuclear building programme in half a century. Great British Energy, Labour’s publicly owned energy company, is already cutting bills for hundreds of schools and hospitals, and has set out its plan to deliver enough clean power for 10 million homes and support over 10,000 jobs by the end of the decade, bringing good industrial jobs back to all parts of the UK.

Housing

Last year, we delivered the highest number of affordable homes in a decade and housing starts are up as we work to restore the dream of home ownership. Our Renters' Rights Act is bringing security to 11 million private renters by banning no-fault evictions and putting an end to bidding wars.

We’re lifting over half a million children out of poverty, thanks to scrapping the two-child limit and expanding free school meals. We have delivered 10 million free breakfasts to primary school kids, school absence is down, and we are on track to deliver 6,500 more teachers where they’re needed most with more than 4,500 already recruited.
