Contacting Winners

  • If the winner is a Labour Party member, we will contact them once by email and make up to three attempts by phone using the contact details on their membership record.
  • It is the responsibility of Labour Party members to ensure that the contact details held on their membership record are accurate and up to date. Members can view and update their contact details at hub.labour.org.uk or by contacting the Membership Team on 0345 092 22 99. The Labour Party cannot accept responsibility where a winner cannot be contacted because the contact details held on their membership record are inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.
  • If the winner is not a Labour Party member, we will contact them once by email and make up to three attempts by phone using the contact details provided at the point of entry.
  • The initial email will be sent at 10am on the relevant draw date. Phone contact attempts will take place between 10am and 5pm on the same day.
  • The winner must confirm acceptance of their prize by either replying to the email or verbally confirming acceptance during a phone call by 5pm on the relevant draw date.
  • If the Labour Party is unable to make contact after three phone attempts, or if the winner does not confirm acceptance by 5pm on the relevant draw date, the prize will be forfeited, and a new winner will be drawn at random from the remaining eligible entries.

Publication of Winners

  • To demonstrate that prizes have been validly awarded, the Labour Party will normally make each winner’s surname and county available on request. Entrants may object to this disclosure or ask us to disclose less information at any time by contacting [email protected]. They do not need to object in advance: before disclosing anything, we will contact each winner, explain what we propose to disclose and give them seven days to respond. We will consider any request before proceeding, and it will not affect the winner’s entitlement to their prize.
  • Even where a winner objects, the Labour Party may provide relevant details and any winning entry privately to the Advertising Standards Authority if required to verify that the draw was properly administered.
  • After accepting their prize, winners may be invited to consent separately to additional publicity, such as publication of their full name, photograph or comments. Participation is optional, and refusing or withdrawing consent will not affect their prize.
