Peter Dowd responds to Netflix receiving a £175,000 tax rebate
Peter Dowd MP, Shadow Chief Secretary to the Treasury, commented on Netflix receiving a £175,000 tax rebate despite making millions in profit, said:
“This is yet another example of big corporations exploiting our tax system at the expense of the taxpayer.
“This Tory government seems perfectly happy to let the wealthiest few channel cash out of the country, and then come back for a handout.
“Labour will introduce the most comprehensive Tax Transparency and Enforcement Programme the country has ever seen to ensure big corporations pay their fair share towards building a society for the many, not the few.”
