How is a hostile environment on immigration impacting race relations in Britain?
Monday
10.00 – 12.00
Auditorium 1B
Immigration has been a central feature in the debate on the UK’s exit from the European Union. The Government’s hostile environment on immigration and its obsession with immigration targets have led to Windrush generation British citizens removal,
detention, deportation from the UK. Moreover, the application of a hostile environment on immigration and enforcement policies are having a detrimental impact on BAME communities – impeding their transactions in everyday living.
Come to BAME Labour’s fringe and hear how every day racism is affecting BAME Communities and why we need stronger enforcement of race equality legislation in Britain.
