Empower your campaigners: nominate now for the Campaign Champion Academy 

Welcome

As a Labour MP, MS or MSP, you have the opportunity to strengthen your local campaign team by nominating up to three campaigners for the new Campaign Champion Academy. This development programme aims to equip your campaigners with the skills and confidence needed to lead our volunteers to deliver high-quality local campaigns.  

The Academy will run January to July 2025. Your campaigners will get access to online training, workshops, and other resources spread over this period, up to two hours a week. While it is flexible, we encourage them to attend at least 70% of the sessions to maximize the benefits.   

Nominations are open now until Wednesday 4 December.   


What is the Campaign Champion Academy? 

The Campaign Champion Academy is a dynamic programme designed to develop the next generation of Labour campaigners. Through engaging online sessions, interactive workshops, and on-demand videos, participants will: 

  • Sharpen essential campaigning skills using innovative virtual training methods. 
  • Build a network of skilled campaigners who can support Labour MPs, MSPs, MS’ and CLPs in the future. 
  • Feel more valued and connected to their MP, MSP or MS and the wider Labour Party. 

Who should you nominate?

We recommend nominating:

  • Up to three campaigners who are less experienced but show potential for leadership in local campaigning. 
  • Individuals active during the general election or those who could benefit from re-engagement and skill development. 
  • Campaigners who reflect the diversity of our movement, helping to expand and strengthen our local networks. 

Note: Please do not nominate your staff, as there is separate training available for them. 

How to nominate 

Please consult with your Regional Director, General Secretary or Deputy General Secretary who can guide you on selecting suitable candidates. Please also speak to your campaigners before nominating them.
