I’m an equality campaigner and member of four Socialist Societies. Since being elected in November I’ve used that experience to stand up for you on the NEC.
I’ve produced regular NEC reports and attended SocSoc Exec meetings to be held to account.
I’m on LGBT+ Labour’s national executive. I’m an active member of Labour Party Irish Society, a member of BAME Labour, and LWN.
I’ve attended numerous SocSoc election campaign days. It’s important the party recognises the vital role SocSocs play in winning and retaining power.
I’m on the National Policy Forum and helped negotiate Labour’s manifesto promises. I’ll ensure SocSocs continue to have an impact on policy in government.
I sit on London Labour Regional Executive Committee. I’ve considered selection, appeals and disciplinary hearings. I make decisions based on the evidence, in line with the Equality Act 2010. On the NEC I’ll ensure the party continues to guard against all forms of racism and anti-semitism.
I’m a trade unionist and member of various UNISON committees. I’m chair of my CLP.
If re-elected I’ll continue to be a loud and proud voice for all SocSocs, making sure we positively influence policy, election outcomes and member’s experience of the Labour Party.

I am standing for election to the National Constitutional Committee to ensure fairness and integrity in our party. As a Labour member for nine years, I have campaigned extensively during elections, including working on the 2024 General Election. I have been a political and community activist since a young age, and through these experiences, I have engaged directly with our communities, listened to concerns, and advocated for Labour’s vision of a fairer society, promoting equality and diversity. Coming from a working-class background, I understand the struggles many face, and this drives my commitment to justice.
Professionally, I have worked as a caseworker and legal advocate, supporting individuals navigating complex legal and government systems. Academically, I have studied Law at university, and Politics at A Level. These experiences have strengthened my understanding of policy, governance, and the importance of strong, accountable leadership.

I grew up in a working-class family, raised by a single mother. Born with deformed feet, I spent 16 years receiving care at Great Ormond Street Hospital to ensure I could walk. It was the Labour Party’s policies that protected my family from falling into poverty due to my medical condition. My mum was given a council flat, which allowed us to thrive as a family despite our challenges.
I believe it’s time for the wealthiest in our society—those who own millions and billions, particularly in assets within the UK—to contribute their fair share through taxation. The gap between rich and poor is widening, and without intervention, the cost of living crisis will only worsen over the next four years.
My greatest fear is that this economic hardship will pave the way for the far-right to push a racist and bigoted agenda, undermining the progress we’ve made as a society. I also worry that the welfare state, which has been a lifeline for families like mine, will be dismantled by the rise of a new right-wing movement—even within Labour itself. Desperation could drive traditional Labour supporters to align with these forces, abandoning the principles of fairness and equality that once united us. My date of birth is 13/09/1974. I’m 50.

I have been a Labour member since 2015, and an organiser for 30 years.
From 2019 to 2023 I was elected as Social Media Officer for Bristol West CLP. Since then I have been SMO for Bristol North West and am an active member of the Executive Committee. I stood in Council Elections on three occasions and served on the campaign committee in Bristol West.
Currently a member of Unite I have been a union member since the 1980s, holding shop steward and union rep posts. I organised industrial action and represented members in court cases and negotiated with employers, defeating draconian sickness rules.
As for direct relevant experience for the CAC; I am a qualified Project Manager for the production of web services for large organisations such as Sky and VW. This included infrastructure, training, and reporting systems. Before that I was a Local Authority engineer co-ordinating major environmental projects. Outside of this in the entertainment industry I have organised many audio-visual, music, and art events.
These are the organisational qualities and experience I hope to bring to the CAC for all the Party, ensuring arrangements are timely, transparent, accessible, and non-discriminatory.

I’m Faheem, and I’m standing for the CAC (General Section) because I believe we need forward-thinking, results-driven leadership that embraces fresh strategies and amplifies member voices. I bring hands-on experience in grassroots organizing, policy development, and community engagement—skills I plan to leverage to make our Party more inclusive and responsive to the evolving political landscape.
If elected, I’ll work to modernize our processes, streamline communication between the grassroots and the Party’s top leadership, and ensure every member’s perspective carries weight. My promise is simple: to champion transparency, foster real collaboration, and deploy cutting-edge solutions that energize both our base and new supporters.
By choosing me, you’re selecting a bold, dynamic leader who isn’t afraid to shake things up. Let’s create a unified, progressive Labour that’s equipped to tackle the challenges of tomorrow. Vote Faheem for CAC – General Section, and together, we’ll drive innovative change that moves our Party forward.

Dear Comrades,
I am honoured to put forward my candidacy for the Conference Arrangements Committee a crucial body ensuring that our party conferences are transparent, inclusive, and representative of our members’ voices. The CAC is instrumental in shaping the agenda, facilitating fair debate, and upholding the democratic integrity of our policymaking process. With your support, I will work to ensure that our conferences remain accessible, member-driven, and impactful.
With over 30 years of grassroots activism and leadership, I have dedicated my life to championing social justice, equality, and the empowerment of marginalized communities. As a Labour Party member for over two decades, I have worked tirelessly to mobilize communities, advocate for progressive policies, and strengthen grassroots engagement. My experience as a **Councillor since 2006 re-elected with the highest votes in London **alongside key roles such as Branch Secretary, CLP Women Officer and Conference Delegate, equips me with the insight and expertise to serve effectively. Also, I secured a top 10 position in the final 20th round of the NEC 2024 elections.

For our Party to be at its strongest, our members must be too. Internal elections like these are a vital way for members to use their voice and express what they want for the future of our Party.
But unfortunately, many members feel left out of this process, due to either a lack of understanding or simply believing that their input won’t make a difference.
This is the reason why I’m standing.
To make these committees more transparent and accessible to the members that it serves. With written monthly reports and constituency visits across the UK, I hope to reach out to as many members as possible and try to make you feel a part of the processes that go on behind closed doors.
For any questions, please get in touch and I will respond within 24 hours.

I have been an active Party member for over six years, and have served as a CLP officer for most of this time. From 2022 to 2024, I represented young members in my region on the Party’s National Policy Forum, and I was elected in 2025 to my local Regional Executive Committee.
I have been a delegate to annual and regional conferences on multiple occasions – I know how important it is for delegates to feel confident and included. As a CAC rep, I would fight particularly for conference to be accessible and welcoming to delegates of all backgrounds, especially for women, young members, and BAME, disabled and LGBT+ delegates.
At this time, it is crucial that delegates have their voice heard and hold our new government to account. As a CAC rep, I would work to ensure this is possible. I believe strongly in fairness, transparency and accountability, and I will report back to members and make sure their views are reflected in how conference is run.
I am proud to be supported by Momentum and the Centre Left Grassroots Alliance, and hope delegates and CLPs will support myself and Jean Crocker in this election.

My 46 years membership of the Labour Party have been marked by unwavering dedication and active participation. My first Party conference as a constituency delegate in 1980 was transformative, where I recognized the significance of hearing the voices of constituency parties and of valuing strongly held minority opinions.
Since those early days, I have attended numerous conferences, initially as a delegate or visitor and then for 25 years as a member of staff, culminating in my role as Director of the Governance and Legal Unit. This extensive experience has given me a thorough understanding of the workings of the conference and its pivotal role as our primary democratic institution.
Throughout, I have devoted myself to defending the voice of the Labour Party and supporting those who advocate for Labour’s success. Now retired, I wish to continue my service to the Party.
If elected to the CAC, I will bring the same level of dedication and commitment to the role, helping Labour continue the essential task of rebuilding our economy to support our public services. My experience will help this vital mission. Together, we can work to achieve the goals we share.
If you support me, please also support Alice Perry.

On CAC I’d do everything I can for CLPs to be heard at a Conference which is democratic in all its processes
After seven years on Women’s CAC (Vice-Chair two years), I understand the pitfalls for members.
I’d seek:
• to provide transparent guidance on writing motions, to help navigate the current considerable constraints to stay ‘in order’
• time for elected CAC members to read the motions and make considered decisions without over-reliance on Party advice
• a fair and impartial grouping of motions into topic areas
• emphasis in compositing meetings that it is elected delegates alone who decide the wording of the composite motion to be debated, not anyone who may come to give advice
I’d argue for comments from disabled members to be taken on board; without accessibility there’s no democracy
I’d be available to answer members’ queries and listen to suggestions
• Gateshead Central and Whickham CLP: Women’s Branch Secretary, Branch Vice-Chair, CLP Executive.
• Member, Disability Labour.
• At every Annual Conference in a decade
• University and College Union: campaigned successfully for the precariously employed; Chair Anti-Casualisation Committee; Disabled Members’ Committee; NEC.
• I am glad to be supported by the Centre Left Grassroots Alliance. Please also support Jack Ballingham.

I am standing for election to the Conference Arrangements Committee to ensure our Party Conference remains a platform where members’ voices are heard, and democracy thrives.
As an active member of Newport East, I have seen firsthand the importance of grassroots participation in shaping Labour’s future. If elected, I will work to ensure all CLPs, regardless of size or resources, can fully participate in this process.
I am committed to:
Fairness and Transparency: Guaranteeing that Conference arrangements are clear, accessible, and fair for all.
Member Empowerment: Ensuring time is allocated to discuss the motions and issues that matter most to members.
Inclusion: Championing diversity so all voices, particularly those from underrepresented groups, are heard.
Our annual Conference is central to Labour’s democratic traditions, and I am determined to protect and strengthen this. I would be honoured to represent you on the CAC and ensure that members remain at the heart of Labour’s decision-making.

Now, more than ever, it’s vital to demonstrate how Labour delivers for the communities we represent.
The Labour Party Conference proves to voters the tangible, positive impact of voting Labour.
If elected to the CAC, I will:
• Highlight Labour’s achievements: Ensure the conference showcases the best of Labour and the transformative difference we make in government.
• Champion inclusivity: Ensure conference is inclusive and accessible for everyone.
• Engage with voters: Focus on voter needs and concerns.
My experience:
• Chair of the NEC (2021-2022), Vice Chair (2020-2021)
• National Executive Committee and Equalities Committee member (2014-2022)
• Councillor (2011-2022)
• CLP representative on the National Policy Forum (2012-2014)
• CLP representative on the CAC (since 2024)
Visibility matters. On the NEC, I championed initiatives to:
• Promote diversity: Ensure speakers and panels are diverse, reflecting our communities.
• Enhance participation: Increase CLP involvement in debates, fostering a more inclusive environment.
As a member of the CAC, I actively listened to feedback and worked tirelessly to improve the delegates’ conference experience.
I will continue to transparently report back on CAC meetings, just as I did with NEC meetings.

I’m Emily Pomroy-Smith, and I’m standing for election as the Disabled Members Representative on the Labour Conference Arrangements Committee. While accessibility at conference has improved in recent years, much more needs to be done. This role demands passion, determination, and a deep understanding of the social model of disability, the Equality Act, and the fight against disableism.
As a disabled woman and mother, I’ve experienced the barriers to participation in our party firsthand. I also have a proven track record of advocating for disabled members, such as when I successfully raised a point of order in 2023, resulting in the installation of a handrail on the conference stage.
I’ve held several CLP-level roles, including Disability Officer and Chair, and I’m a proud member of UNITE, supporting campaigns in the South West led by the FBU, CWU, and ASLEF. As an active member of Disability Labour and a member of its executive committee, I’ve chaired panels at National Conference on the Social Model of Disability and accessible travel.

The reason I want you to support my application as a disabled member is because I have a number of disabilities both seen and hidden .sadly disabled people are still treated as second class citizens and those unable to work and get welfare benefits are treated as lazy and not worthy of welfare benefits -no government ever in UK has ever tackled the issues facing disabled workers and people in general -I will fight to change the unacceptable Labour Party policies being introduced by the current Labour government on welfare reform and social care -we are and should be better then the tories and provide support to disabled workers and people in society .I am wanting normal members like myself to be able to win elections on the NEC and seek CLP support -things needs to change and we need to make that change happen in the current Parliament before next General election -we are one of the worlds strong economies and have the funds to build and deliver a welfare state for everyone -especially those unable to work or can only do limited work -Vote for me and nominate me -I will promise to say it like it is and not be bothered about upsetting people because I say it like it is

I’m a 63yr old disabled working class socialist. I became a nurse, working in various NHS hospital departments.. Born with disabilities, I now mobilise using sticks and a wheelchair.
I joined the Labour Party in 2011. I’m an active member of Hackney South & Shoreditch. I’ve been the CLP Disability Officer for several years..
I’m one of the vice chairs of the Socialist Health Association.
Also an executive committee member of Disability Labour.
.
Labour’s National Conference is an integral part of the calendar for us members. .
I’ve attended many National Conferences and National Women’s Conferences, either as a visitor or a delegate.
As a disabled person I’ve frequently encountered problems which prohibit full participation due to accessibility issues, eg trip hazards, lack of ramps and working lifts. Also incorrect BSL signage and auto-captioning of the speakers.
.
As your disabled CAC representative I would work hard with the CAC to prevent such issues. Being there for disabled conference goers to address any other needs they have.
Thus creating, by adhering to the social model of disability, a welcoming, accessible, safe environment to be in.
Where everyone can fully enjoy all the experiences that a Labour Party conference has to offer.

If you or I were the subject of a disciplinary case, we would want that to be considered by individuals who are:
• experienced,
• impartial,
• objective,
• of diverse backgrounds,
• able to reach an evidenced-based outcome expediently,
but, above all, treat us with fairness, dignity, and respect.
I’m a senior employment lawyer, mediator, and employee relations specialist. My specialism is in complex workplace investigations, grievances, and disciplinaries. These focus on serious allegations of discrimination, sexual harassment/assault, fraud, and bullying. If allegations are upheld, I ensure that proportionate and fair outcomes are delivered in a timely manner and appropriate, evidence-based reasons are communicated to involved parties.
I come from a working-class family in Sheffield and was first generation to go to University (Liverpool). I’ve worked in call centres, high-street banks, and volunteered with Pro Bono Legal Charities.
I’m proud of the membership and roles I currently hold with Labour groups, including the Society of Labour Lawyers, Officer of LGBT+ Labour (London S/E Committee) and Secretary of Tooting Labour. I am also a proud member of Unite.

My name is Muhammad Ali, I’m a CLP TULO and BLP Secretary from Birmingham and I’m proud to be offering something different to the NCC! I don’t know about you, but I’m not the greatest fan of internal ballots such as these being dominated by factionalism and slates of candidates. This should be especially true for a committee who’s function should be completely fair, open and transparent, without any political or factional bias. Therefore, I will not be seeking endorsement from, or endorsing, any other candidates or groups.
As a member of Birmingham City Council’s Independent Remuneration Panel, and with a history of sitting on Academic Misconduct Panels as a Students’ Union Sabbatical Officer, I have more than proven my ability to come to fair and reasoned decisions when confronted with conflicting viewpoints and large amounts of complex evidence.
If elected, I promise to uphold the our shared values of solidarity, tolerance and respect, and work to “ensure an inclusive, safe and constructive environment” – just as stated in the Member Pledge we all have agreed to. Thank you for reading this, and thank you for your vote!

Disciplinary processes must be transparent, accountable and fair to grassroots members and trade unionists.
In my three years on Labour’s National Executive Committee I fought for the principles of natural justice to be applied within Labour’s disciplinary processes. The right for those accused to have clear, timely information, to have the opportunity to put their case, and a genuine right to appeal appear too often absent, with procedures politically motivated with the left targeted for exclusion.
I’m very concerned about equity in Labour’s disciplinary processes. It is troubling to hear how many Jewish people who support Palestinian human rights are reported to have been excluded from membership, and I am concerned about fair treatment for disabled members, older members and those with mental health conditions. The Forde report exposed serious failings and should have led to greater improvement.
If elected, I pledge to uphold the rulebook, reject factionalism and apply the principles of natural justice.
I’m an experienced activist, Labour Party member for 30 years, member of UCU, Socialist Health Association and Socialist Education Association. I’ve participated in many disciplinary hearings and always been scrupulous in fair application of the rules. Please also support Dave Levy and Nicodemus Leo.

My Labour Party journey spans nearly twenty years of almost continual membership, reflecting my commitment to its values. I’ve also been a long-standing member of the GMB Union and previously served as the National Secretary and Executive Committee Member of the Jewish Labour Movement for nine years.
My time as a Councillor and Shadow Cabinet member in the London Borough of Barnet from 2014 to 2018 provided me with valuable insights into local government from opposition. I’ve actively participated in Harrow East, Hendon, and Chipping Barnet CLPs, having served on ECs and been a regular campaigner. My involvement in numerous local government selection panels has also equipped me with a strong understanding of candidate assessment.
My familiarity with Labour’s disciplinary procedures is significant, particularly from my involvement with the JLM team that initiated the EHRC investigation into the party. I believe that Labour Party membership is a privilege, not a right, and that every member, from canvasser to MP, acts as an ambassador for our party and its values. The NCC has a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of these values by upholding the highest standards.

I am seeking your support to sit on our Party’s NCC.
I promise that I will act with fairness and consider all the evidence on any cases on which I sit.
I believe that our rules should be interpreted in the context of UK and human rights law and that the principles of natural justice must be maintained and offered to all members.
I joined the party in 1974. Since moving to Lewisham in 2010, I have held a number of positions in my CLP, LCF & branch, having been intermittently Secretary of the CLP & LCF over that time. I have acted as a workers’ companion for the last eight years which gives me a lot of experience in assessing cases of bullying and discrimination. I have been trained in employment and equality law.
I am a member of CLPD and have authored and campaigned for many rule changes to make the party accountable to its members.

I believe any Labour Party worth its name should prioritise and promote fairness in working class people’s lives. To do this, the party should apply fairness to its internal policies too.
To this end, we must create a transparent, democratic, member-led process for creating and implementing policy, nationally and locally. This includes policy in areas of disciplinary process, manifesto creation, and representative selection. I’m committed to this mission.
I became a trade unionist to bring justice to people’s working lives. The Labour Party is the vehicle for achieving this justice politically and I’m a member of Labour to have a say in how this is achieved.
I have served as Branch Secretary and Chair at Unite. I’d love to bring the skills gained to the Labour party structures. I have direct experience of canvassing and organising locally in my CLP and am a skilled Project Manager with experience organising and building teams. I also have spent most of my career working in the not-for-profit sector with and for minority groups and people with disabilities.

I believe in fresh strategies that empower everyday voices—pushing for modernized outreach, data-driven decision-making, and innovative community engagement. Dear Comrades,
I am honoured to put forward my candidacy for the National Constitutional Committee, a vital body that upholds the integrity, fairness, and accountability of our party’s governance. The NCC plays a crucial role in ensuring that our party operates on the principles of justice, democracy, and transparency, safeguarding the rights of our members and reinforcing Labour’s core values. With your support, I will ensure that party procedures remain fair, inclusive, and firmly rooted in our shared commitment to equality and integrity.
With over 30 years of grassroots activism and leadership, I have championed justice, fairness, and democratic engagement. Also, I secured a top 10 position in the final 20th round of the NEC 2024 elections.

Dear Members,
I am honoured to seek your nomination for the Labour Party’s National Constitutional Committee (NCC). With a deep commitment to fairness, transparency, and accountability, I am dedicated to upholding the integrity of our party’s democratic processes.
As a longstanding Labour Party member of over a decade, a former Parliamentary Candidate, and a current member of the East Midlands Regional Board, I have consistently worked to champion our party’s values. My experience as a trade union organiser, representing public sector workers and negotiating for fair pay and conditions, has reinforced my dedication to justice and equality—principles that I will steadfastly uphold in the NCC.
Academically, I hold a Master’s degree in Human Rights and Global Ethics and am currently furthering my expertise through the study of Employment Law. This legal foundation equips me with the knowledge and integrity required to ensure that disciplinary processes are conducted fairly, efficiently, and in accordance with our party’s rules.
If elected, I will prioritise the delivery of justice for all members, ensuring that cases are handled with the highest standards of professionalism, impartiality, and timeliness. I believe in fostering a culture of accountability while safeguarding the rights of all party members.

I am proud to be seeking re-election to the Labour Party’s National Women’s Committee after serving as Chair for the past two years. It has been an immense privilege to represent and advocate for Labour women, ensuring that our voices are heard at every level of the Party.
During my tenure, I have worked tirelessly to strengthen our collective voice, push for policies that improve women’s lives, and ensure that Labour remains the party of equality and social justice. We have fought for better representation, addressed key issues affecting women, and built a strong network of activists who are committed to change. But there is still more to do.
I will continue to champion policies that tackle gender inequality, secure greater inclusion for all women in our movement, work with our Labour government to deliver for women and fulfil our manifesto pledges, and ensure that the National Women’s Committee remains a force for positive change. Together, we can build on the progress we’ve made and keep pushing for a Labour Party that truly represents and uplifts all women.
I hope to earn your trust once again and continue this vital work. Let’s keep fighting for a fairer, more equal society.

My name is Chloe Adduocchio, I’m 33 years old and a proud trans woman living in Shepton Mallet, Somerset. As someone who has lived experience of navigating barriers faced by women, particularly disabled women, I am passionate about creating a more equal and inclusive society. I’ve dedicated much of my life to advocating for equality, fairness, and representation.
I have firsthand experience fighting for the rights of women and disabled people, both in my local community and within the Labour Party. I previously served as a Disability Officer for the Wells CLP and my branch, ensuring that disabled members had their voices heard and their needs met. I bring this same passion and determination to championing women’s issues, striving to tackle gender inequality and barriers to participation.
As a blind woman, I am deeply aware of the intersectionality of gender and disability and the need for policies that address diverse experiences. I am committed to representing all women and ensuring the National Women’s Committee is inclusive, accessible, and actively working to empower women of all backgrounds.
Together, we can build a stronger, more equal movement that uplifts and supports women at every level. Thank you for your support.

I joined the Party in 2015 and have been a delegate to National Women’s Conference, a CLP Rep on the National Policy Forum, Chair of my Unite Community branch, served on the Unite Wales Labour Liaison Committee, have had several roles within my CLP (Brecon, Radnor and Cwm Tawe in Wales) including Acting Secretary, Policy Officer and am now its Political Education Officer.
As an intersectional feminist and a disabled woman myself, I believe we must achieve equity, not just equality. Women and the most vulnerable in society shouldn’t be the victims of austerity politics, but we are too often at the sharp end of belt-tightening policies.
Our voices are habitually ignored, making spaces such as National Women’s Conference essential. It must return to being a two day, standalone event and if elected, I would work with others to fulfil this again. I would also campaign for wealth taxes rather than austerity 2.0 and for our Party to become a force for peace.

As a 31-year old proud mother of two boys, my journey into politics began from personal hardship. While pregnant with my second child, I was made redundant, losing financial security and enhanced maternity benefits. It was a frightening time, especially with my eldest son, who has special educational needs. This experience ignited my passion for change. No mother should ever be forced to endure such adversity.
Since then, I have worked tirelessly to support and empower women in our party. However, my political journey has not been easy. I’ve faced bullying, threats, and sexual harassment—issues that too many women in politics endure.
I am determined to make political spaces safer and more inclusive. We must strengthen protections, improve accountability, and ensure no woman is driven out of politics by fear or intimidation.
As Women’s Officer for South Leicestershire CLP, I launched a monthly newsletter and campaigned on workplace rights, maternal protections, and gender equality. These issues affect women everywhere, not just in our constituency.
I will fight for lasting change that benefits women across the country. Together, we can transform politics into a space where women are valued, protected, and able to thrive.
Vote for Laura Badland.

I write to express my interest in the National Women’s Committee role.
I joined to the Labour Party in 2011 with the aim of influencing positive change in my community. My passion to engage in politics has been influenced, by my late father, who was passionate about social justice, and actively engaged in national politics.
Moreover, whilst volunteering for Wonderfully Made Woman in Manchester, I realised how certain government policies negatively affected women and young girls in the North West of England. This further influenced my decision to actively engage in influencing positive change in my community.
I have been the Women’s officer in Wythenshawe and Sale East CLP for the past 3 years. A role in which I have diligently served the constituency. Ever since elected to this role, I have organised face to face sessions, and online sessions for the active participation of Labour Party members in the constituency.
I have volunteered for the Labour Party in local and national elections over the years, and represented Wythenshawe and Sale East at annual national conference.
I believe this role will equip me with the essential leadership skills required on how to effectively advocate for women in the Labour Party.

Labour Women’s voices must be heard and acted on. I’ll work for engagement of the National Women’s Committee (NWC) with Women’s Branches and Forums, to hear their views, needs and successes, so that NWC’s activities and recommendations to the Party are informed by them. I’ll seek website information on setting up Women’s Branches, and the establishment of more Regional Women’s Committees.
On the Women’s Conference Arrangements Committee seven years (Vice-Chair for two), I’m committed to a two-day, hybrid, democratic, diverse, accessible, networking Women’s Conference where women speak passionately for policies based in their life experiences. NWC oversees the Conference; if elected I’ll continue the struggle for this.
I’ll be available to women members.

I’m standing for the National Women’s Committee because I’m keen to help grow the Labour movement amongst women nationally, support women members, and advise our Party on women’s political involvement.
Being a woman in the Labour Party is in many ways an honour: we’re the party of equality. But there is still work to do to increase representation at all levels. I’ve attended the Women’s Conference multiple times. It’s rewarding to discuss important issues: from the gender pay gap to experiences of misogyny. As a Committee member, I’d be active in shaping future Women’s Conferences.
As a councillor and Cabinet Member for Business, Jobs & Skills, I work hard to deliver Lewisham’s mission of building an inclusive economy. This includes helping women to start their own businesses, and to stay in business.
As a former financial journalist, I joined newsroom campaigns to promote gender parity in our reporting. That meant ensuring we actively sought out more women experts when we needed a quote, in order to widen women’s representation in the media.
I’m a member of UNISON, LCID, Labour Women’s Network, and am proud of what Labour has done for women since entering government. I’d like to support that work further.

I try to ensure my CLP and branch is focused on Women’s Issues and strengthens the voice of women at every opportunity. I am proud to have represented the North-East on the National Women’s Committee for two years, where we have some brilliant women MPs and organisers.
I am a passionate believer in making younger female members of the Labour Party aware of the possibilities for women in the Party, and using my knowledge as a community activist and councillor, help them progress as politicians and activists in the future.
I will be supporting and promoting important legislation such as the Employment Bill to give better protections for working women; fulfill our manifesto pledge to halve violence against women and girls in a decade; and help us build an economy that works for women.

I am committed to reinstatement of a publicly provided national health service. Women remain disadvantaged in many areas of society, from work and pensions to healthcare. Mothers, babies and families continue to be failed and let down by a broken system which doesn’t listen to women. If elected, I would work to highlight these causes and promote policies that address root causes of these problems through intersectoral approaches. This would include advocating for a stand-alone 2-day Women’s Conference so that these issues can be properly debated by the thousands of brilliant women in the Labour movement. I became active in the party in 1983, holding numerous internal posts and campaigning against Thatcher’s governments, especially on issues affecting women. I gained many skills, becoming a Borough Councillor at 22. I had the privilege to serve as a town and county councillor for over 20 years, before standing in the 1997 General Election and the 1999 Eddisbury By-Election. I am my CLP’s women’s office and my Branch’s secretary. I am a member of Unite and the Co-operative Party and a Town Councillor once more.
With the Blair governments delivering massive change for women, I assumed many of the battles around diversity, equality and inclusion had been won. Unfortunately, things are going backwards for women across the world. At home, the need to campaign to defend progress is as vital as ever. If elected, I would advocate for Labour to protect and build on the advances already made, ensuring its historic commitment to all women’s rights is maintained. Labour must remain the natural party for women of all ages and backgrounds, welcoming diverse opinions and lived experiences. I want a party that reflects and campaigns on things that matter to women in the real world-health, housing, education and crime.

So many issues that face us today as a country have a profound effect on women in particular: insufficient mental health care and adult social care, a benefit system that leaves many in poverty, the lack of good quality, affordable housing, and the casualisation of the workforce and the eroding of the rights of workers. The Women’s Conference is an important opportunity for all Labour women to discuss these and other critical issues. I will work to ensure that women from across Labour have their voices heard, especially those that have been historically marginalised – intersectional feminism is key to a successful party.

Miriam Rice, Ealing North CLP, B013649
I have been a councillor for seven years, and I have served in officer roles across the Labour and Co-op parties including CLP Secretary, Campaign Co-ordinator, and Election Agent. My union is the GMB.
Standing up for issues impacting women, I have spoken up on matters including:
• Often ignored realities for Afghan women and girls
• Uyghur women facing incredible suffering
• Women cocoa farmers deserving a better deal and Fairtrade
The realities raised by Labour Women’s Declaration are so often ignored also, and it is time for change.
I am standing with support from Labour Women’s Declaration:
• To welcome debate on the rights of women to single sex spaces and safety
• To maintain the rights of women to self-organise
• To move forward on the myriad of issues affecting women
There is so much to applaud as to the bravery of many in our party and our responses to the Cass Review, the Sullivan Review, and also regarding high-profile cases in the courts. May we continue to acknowledge the reality of sex and its impact on the lives of women and girls everywhere.
Please also support Ann Henderson, Emine Ibrahim and Laura Pascal.

As a lifelong member of the Labour Party, I have always been driven by a deep commitment to inclusion, equality, and ensuring that every voice is heard. Your concerns, ideas, struggles matter and I will always listen. As a member of our National Women’s Committee, I will continue to fight for you, support you, and stand beside you. I will attend your events, work with your CLPs, and be a strong, unwavering advocate. Over the past two years as Vice Chair, I have campaigned tirelessly, canvassing for councillors and MPs, speaking at events, empowering women to stand for election, fundraising, and offering training and advice. Now in Government, we face new challenges. The road ahead may not always be smooth, but together, in unity and solidarity, we can build a Labour Party where every woman feels valued, included, and empowered. I have worked passionately with women’s groups on issues from adoption apology to period poverty and have chaired Midlands TUC events ranging from tackling violence against women, to transport injustices. I promise to stand with you, to fight for you, and to ensure that no one feels isolated, because we have far more in common than what divides us.

I joined the Labour Party over 30 years ago and have worked tirelessly for gender quality, as a CLP women’s officer and a trade unionist. I want to use this experience to help the Labour party as we prepare for the next General Election.
It is a fact we must celebrate that there are now more women MPs than Conservatives showing that if we can get women’s voices heard in Parliament but we must keep going. If elected, I will ensure we maintain women’s representation at every level, in local government and party structures. It is vital we have a programme of training and mentoring in place for the next generation of women, and strong networks for women locally and across the country so we can support one another.
It is through Labour women that we will continue to build links with women in our communities, so we can be their voice on issues that matter, from climate change to the cost of living. The role of women’s conference must take centre stage as a platform to progress these policies and make sure women are at the heart of our party and our Government.

I prioritise inclusiveness and intersectionality. I am pleased to have been involved in researching the language and training needs of migrant women in Leeds and in work on domestic violence, representing Leeds LEA on Leeds Inter Agency Project and as initiator of NUT policy carried forward by others when I had to take ill health retirement.
Having attended both two/day zoom and one-day in person Womens Conferences I would strongly support the return to a two day Conference preferably in hybrid format allowing more women to participate.

The disastrous economic legacy of Tory governments has left lasting damage that disproportionately affects women. I seek re-election to be a strong voice in the National Women’s Committee, advancing women’s rights and advocating improving the quality of life and representation for women
of all ages in every community, particularly minorities. If elected I will continue to campaign for all Labour government policies to be focused on gender equality.
My long-standing interest in addressing health inequalities has led to my election as Governor of Guy’s and St Thomas’s NHS Trust and my current appointment as Governor of King’s College Hospital NHS Trust. My aim is for the NHS to fully embrace progressive diversity and inclusion policies.
In addition to my work as a Lambeth Councillor, I am passionate about better outcomes for refugees and asylum seekers. I run a local outreach network of volunteers who collect and distribute toys, books and other essentials to mothers awaiting immigration decisions.
