What is a safeguarding concern?
When there is information that a child, young person, or an adult at risk has been harmed, or is at risk of being harmed, by their own or someone else’s behaviour.
Reporting a safeguarding concern
It is important that safeguarding concerns are reported promptly so that the party can take action to keep people safe. Labour Party members, volunteers, elected representatives and staff members must report safeguarding concerns to their Regional Safeguarding Lead or the Safeguarding Unit no later than the next working day that the concern is raised or received.
If any person is at immediate risk of harm or requires medical attention the emergency services should be contacted immediately by telephoning 999. You should then contact the Safeguarding Unit
