Trainee Organiser Scheme

Are you a passionate campaigner, an excellent leader and a team player?

The Labour Party is recruiting Trainee Organisers to join our team in January 2024. Our Trainee Organisers will be at the forefront of the next General Election campaign, supporting constituency parties and regional offices with the essential work of campaign planning and delivery.

Successful candidates will have excellent organisational skills, the ability to work proactively with a variety of stakeholders, the ability to successfully plan projects, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate these skills whether secured through political campaigning activity, or through other areas of their personal, voluntary, community or professional background.

Want to hear more about what a Trainee Organiser does?
On 12 October at 5:30pm, we held a webinar so those interested could hear from our National Campaign Coordinator Pat McFadden MP and previous Trainee Organisers.

If you were unable to attend, please find a recording below:

I had so many brilliant experiences throughout my time on the scheme. I loved being a trainee organiser, you get to see politics from the inside and get to work with brilliant activists.”

Do I need lots of experience campaigning for the Labour Party?

No, Trainee Organisers will benefit from a comprehensive programme of online and residential training, as well frontline experience gained from working on elections, by-elections and local campaigns. We’re looking for key skills throughout our recruitment process, not Labour Party experience.
