Parliamentary Officer, Labour Peers Group, House of Lords

Salary: £44,624.13 (gross) per annum inclusive of London Weighting, with a fixed sum allowance of £1,127. There is the ability to progress to £50,830.45 over the next 3 years

The Labour Party is looking to recruit a Parliamentary Officer. The post-holder will be responsible for providing support to the Labour Peers’ Group in relation to information on government business, the Labour Party in Parliament, and the administration of Group activities.

The successful candidate will have: Demonstrable knowledge of current affairs in a political context; Demonstrable knowledge of administration, including experience of note taking and summarising into minutes; Ability to communicate effectively with people at different levels, including parliamentarians and their staff; and will be able to demonstrate initiative, a professional approach, and methodical working.
