Disability Labour – “Nothing about us without us”
Monday
Time TBC
Meeting Room 14
This fringe will explore the opportunities and barriers experienced by disabled members of the Labour Party and wider movement. Disabled people are largely absent from Party roles or political office, resulting in disabled people claiming fair representation – “nothing about us without us”. Speakers will respond to the proposals coming from the Democracy Review, challenge conventional thinking about disabled people’s contribution to politics and how Labour can move from exclusion to inclusion.
Disability Labour welcomes disabled activists and allies to come and engage with a diversity of views and experiences.
