The boundary review in its current form is simply not fit for purpose – Cat Smith

Cat Smith MP, Labour’s Shadow Minister for Voter Engagement and Youth Affairs, commenting on the Government’s response to the Public Administration and Constitutional Affairs Committee’s report on UK Parliamentary constituency boundaries, said:

“Labour stands ready to work with all parties to ensure that a boundary review can go ahead in a way that benefits our democracy, not just the Conservative Party.

“However, the boundary review in its current form is simply not fit for purpose.

“The Tories should abandon their undemocratic plans and back the Parliamentary Constituencies (Amendment) Bill instead.”
