Louise Haigh responds to HMICFRS report

Louise Haigh MP, Labour’s Shadow Policing Minister, responding to the Public Perceptions of Policing in England and Wales 2018 survey, said:

“This survey proves communities are increasingly fearful of rising crime and thanks to Tory cuts there are simply not enough police to cope. Labour will recruit 10,000 officers and put police back in our communities where they can fight crime and antisocial behaviour.

“It is little wonder so many people haven’t seen an officer or PCSO in the last year out in the community, when 21,000 have been cut from our streets.”
