Marsha De Cordova responds to the boss of Motability’s £2.2 million bonus
Marsha De Cordova MP, Labour’s Shadow Minister for Disabled People, responding to the news that the boss of Motability – the taxpayer supported business that supplies cars to disabled people – is in line for a £2.2 million bonus, said:
“It is shocking that the wealthy few continue to profit at the expense of many disabled people in need of support.
“It is disgraceful that executive directors received millions in bonuses, particularly given that the scheme has been found to overcharge hundreds of thousands of disabled people for vital mobility support.
“We urgently need accountability and transparency for this scheme, which should put disabled people’s interests at its heart.”
