The Tories can’t swerve responsibility on potholes – Roberta Blackman-Woods

Roberta Blackman-Woods MP, Labour’s Shadow Minister for Planning, commenting on the Government’s announcement of £100 million to tackle potholes, said:

“The Tories can’t swerve responsibility for the sorry state of our roads.

“Huge cuts to council budgets have left local authorities struggling to provide local services and look after our road network, resulting in crumbling roads, vehicle damage and placing the safety of drivers and pedestrians at risk.

“This announcement falls far short of what is needed to fix their mess.”
